May Updates from Mark Sand & Gravel Co.: Workforce Initiatives and Community Engagement

In this month's newsletter, we're excited to share several important updates and initiatives at Mark Sand & Gravel Co. Our Workforce Recruitment/Development Consultant, Sal Di Leo, will be visiting job sites to enhance communication and training, with lunch provided for employees.

We're proud to sponsor the EDUPUTT Classic Mini Golf Fundraiser, benefiting the Bemidji District 31 Foundation Fund, which supports classroom needs beyond the usual budget.

We continue to offer our employee referral program, offering a $500 bonus for successful referrals. Additionally, safety remains our top priority, with a focus on personal, equipment, and site safety, and a reaffirmed zero-tolerance policy for harassment and bullying.

Excitingly, we're now offering free CDL training, an $8,000 value, to both current and incoming employees.

Community Outreach: Supporting Education through Mini Golf

Mark Sand & Gravel Co. is a proud hole sponsor for the EDUPUTT Classic Mini Golf Fundraiser, with all proceeds going to the Foundation Fund for Bemidji District 31. The ISD 31 Foundation puts money directly back into the classroom for items that are just outside of budget level or unique, such as wood lathes, iPads, gym equipment, outdoor wheelchairs, presentations from outside organizations, and music equipment.
